All farmers received an early Holi gift from our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 27.
He distributed the 13th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) worth 16,000 crores in Belagavi, Karnataka, during his trip to the state to open the SHIVAMOGGA AIRPORT.
This programme benefits more than 8 crore farmers.
Here is a glimpse of the PM-KISAN launch before more is said:
It is an initiative by the government of India that give farmers up to ₹6,000 per year as minimum income support. The initiative was announced by Piyush Goyal during the 2019 Interim Union Budget of India on 1 February 2019.The scheme has cost ₹75,000 crore per annum and came into effect December 2018.The installment of 6000 is given in break of 4 months(2,000 each).The 11th and 12th installments under the Scheme were given in May and October last year.
Who are eligible for this scheme?
- Only farmers who are the legal owners of arable land are eligible to participate in the program. The farmer should either be the owner of the land or a lessee.
- There is no upper age limit for applicants to the program. Only Indian citizens are eligible to use the program
- Any small and marginal farmers with landholdings of up to 2 hectares are eligible for the program
- The program is open to all qualified farmers, regardless of the amount of income.
- The farmers must have a current bank account in their names.
- To apply for the program, farmers must have an Aadhaar card.

- Scroll down to find the 'Farmers Corner' section on the homepage.
- Click on the Beneficiaries List option.
- Select State, District, Sub District, Block, and Village from the drop-down list.
- Now, click on 'Get Report'.
- The complete list of beneficiaries will appear, in which you can check your name.
